**8/16-8/17 - **We will be completing simple Housekeeping items - Handing out textbooks, Going over the course description, Student handbook, etc.

**Read up to page 5**in the text book- Complete
**page 3 questions 1-8**on problem solving. Show all your work. We will go over answers on Monday in class. **Binder check**to make sure we have all needed supplies.

Monday we will also begin Lesson 1 in class.

There is usually NO homework for this class, however, please check the blog for details on concerts, events, class projects and other important class information and interesting things in the world of music.

**Supply List:** All needed class supplies are provided with the exception of choir attire. I will let you know when we will be ordering Dresses and Tuxes. Cost for Tuxes approx. $110; Dresses approx. $85 (there are a few gently used dresses in the choir room which can be altered.)

**November 2 VCS Auction/Dinner at Sunrise Church on Greenback **-

- Meet at the church at 5 p.m.
- We are singing at 5:30.
- After we are done, you van leave if you do not want to stay for the auction.
- The dinner can be purchased at a discount. For details check with the school office.
