Peggy Marriott
Mrs. Marriott was born in Michigan and attended school there throughout her elementary years. In junior high and high school, she traveled a lot and attended many different schools. It is easy for her to relate to the new student because she was often a new student. Mrs. Marriott attended Sierra College, CSUS Stanislaus, CSUS Sacramento, and did graduate work at University of CA, Davis. Mrs. Marriott has a BA degree in Spanish with a minor in Communication Studies. She is WASC and ACSI accredited in Spanish and English. Both of her children attended VCS their entire school years. She began teaching at VCS in the fall of 1979. Before that, she worked in a 3rd grade classroom as an aide. Mrs. Marriott has traveled to Mexico many times on mission trips as an interpreter. After housing a Spanish exchange student for a summer, she traveled to Spain. She has also housed an exchange student from France.
Her favorite activities include gardening, puzzles, reading, and anything related to her family. She enjoys all students and the opportunity to see them serve the Lord. Her favorite verses are Philippians 4:4-9. She especially likes verse 9 which encourages us to act on our faith. It is important to make our testimony practical so the world will be won.
