Sue Huffman
Mrs. Huffman began teaching at Victory in 1978, where she taught K-12 P.E. A graduate of CSU Sacramento, she taught PE for seven years at VCS then went back to Sacramento State to coach the women's basketball team for 15 years. She resigned the coaching position in 2000 and took over as travel coordinator for the athletic department. In 2004 she retired from CSUS, enabling her to return to Victory and teach K-6th grade PE at the Carmichael campus.
Physical Education offers such an opportunity to prepare young people for the future. Learning to understand the importance of fitness, nutrition and, most of all, having Christ-like attitudes in working with each other are some of Mrs. Huffman's goals for the students. Sue is married and has three children. Her husband, John, is the principal of Junior High and High School. Mrs. Huffman has been coaching junior high girls' basketball with her daughter, Katelyn, as well as coaching 3rd – 6th grade VCS volleyball and basketball teams at the Carmichael Recreation and Park District.
