Phyllis Tillman
Mrs. Tillman has been involved at Victory for many years, first as a parent volunteer, then as a full-time aide and creative writing teacher, and most recently as the third grade teacher. She attended LeTourneau College, Western Bible College, and graduated from Colorado State University with a B.S. in Education and Food Science and Nutrition. She taught in public schools and then worked in food service management where she met and married her husband, Dr. James Tillman. Jim has pastored for many years and is a retired National Guard chaplain. They have a son and daughter who graduated from Victory. "I thoroughly love teaching third grade. I count it a privilege to help children learn about God's Word, and begin to discover that God has a special plan for each of them." A verse Mrs. Tillman uses to encourage the children is Jeremiah 29:11, "For I know the plans that I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans for welfare and not for calamity to give you a future and a hope."
