Mr. John Huffman graduated from California State University, Sacramento with a B.A. in Criminal Justice. He has been the principal of the Junior High and High School since 2004 and was named Superintendent of Victory Christian Schools in 2010. Mr. Huffman began working at Victory in 1978 as a coach. The following year he began teaching and continued until 1986. He left Victory for 12 years to assist his wife in coaching the Women's Basketball team at his alma mater. In 2000, Mr. Huffman returned to Victory, becoming the Dean of Students, four years later the principal, and currently the Superintendent.
Mr. Huffman has 3 children who have graduated from Victory. He has coached almost every sport that VCS offers. He currently plays softball. He also is involved in the orchestra at his church.
Mr. Huffman served with Sports Ambassadors, a ministry of Overseas Crusades, for 3 years playing basketball and sharing his faith in New Guinea, West Africa, and the Philippines.
Mr. Huffman's favorite verse is Colossians 3:23, "Whatever you do, do your work heartily, as for the Lord rather than for men."

Mrs Jones is the Administrative Assistant to the Superintendent, Mr. Huffman. She spent her early years as a student at Victory and came on staff in summer of 2017. In 1996, she married her best friend, Rob. They have three children, the youngest of whom is a student at Victory. Mrs. Jones has a B.S. in Human Development and a minor in Religious Studies from UC Davis.
Since college, Mrs. Jones has been involved raising, training and placing assistance dogs with people with disabilities. On Sundays, you'll find her behind the information desk in the lobby at church, where she loves welcoming people and helping them get connected. She enjoys encouraging students and adults to connect the dots of Biblical truth and marvel at the grace and mercy of our Father in our everyday lives. Her favorite things are making memories with her family, gardening, training dogs and shopping at thrift stores.
One of Mrs. Jones' favorite verses is John 10:10, "The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full."

Mrs. Dora Marques graduated from Multnomah School of the Bible with a dual degree in Biblical Studies and Christian Leadership. She then attended Sacramento State University and graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Liberal Studies, followed with graduate studies at Ashland State University.
Mrs. Marques has spent her entire educational career with Victory Christian Schools. Mrs. Marques taught Pre-Kindergarten, Kindergarten and fourth grade prior to becoming an elementary principal. She started with Victory over 50 years ago and has become an invaluable resource for many people. There are not many positions that Mrs. Marques has not filled or assisted in recruiting the many great teachers that Victory has had.
Mrs. Marques is equipped to lead prospective parents into a full understanding of what Victory is about. She shares the passion for children to come to know and love the Lord Jesus Christ.
Mrs. Marques' favorite Bible verse is Jeremiah 33:3, "Call to Me and I will answer you, and I will tell you great and mighty things, which you do not know."

Mr. Smith-Steward started working at VCS in 2003. He graduated from California State University, Long Beach in 1983 with a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration/MIS and received his MBA in 1990 from California State University, Sacramento.
Mr. Smith-Steward has over 30 years experience working in a variety of financial and management positions. Prior to his employment at VCS, Mr. Smith-Steward worked as a financial consultant for small businesses, including private schools. Prior to his work as a consultant, he worked as a Financial Analyst and Director of Finance for the medical and banking industries.
Mr. Smith-Steward has an avid interest in alternative energy power generation and systems as well as hybrid and electric vehicles. He owns an off-grid home in Washington which is powered by solar photovoltaic panels and a micro-hydro turbine system which he installed himself.
Mr. Smith-Steward's favorite Bible verse is John 3:16, "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life."

Mrs. Georgette Sattler started working at VCS in 1999 as the Business Assistant. She has a B.A. in Sociology from Trinity International University. Before coming to VCS she was the faculty secretary at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, a pastor's wife for 20 years, and an administrative assistant for a pastor in a local church. The job she liked the best was when she stayed home and was "mom".
Mrs. Sattler has two grown children who both attended and graduated from Victory. She is a grandmother to 7 wonderful grandchildren. Her favorite thing to do in her spare time is read. Her favorite thing about working at VCS is that all who work here are united around one purpose - to bring glory to God in everything we do.
Mrs. Sattler's favorite Bible verses are Romans 8:38-39, "For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord."

Mrs. Rutan is our Development Coordinator. Before coming to VCS, she worked for several years as a Regional Trainer and a Branch Manager at World Savings Bank. She was the Supervisor of our Extended Care for a year and a half before moving to the Development Department. She volunteered as a classroom helper and room mom before joining the VCS staff. She has two children.
When not working, Mrs. Rutan loves to cook and try out new recipes. She is active in fundraising for different non-profit organizations. She loves to express her love for the Lord through song.
Mrs. Rutan’s favorite thing about working at VCS is that she is able to freely talk about the Lord and how much He means to her. Her favorite Bible verse is Psalms 34:7, “The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears them, He delivers them from all their troubles.”

Mrs. Delyser has a Bachelors of Science Degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Management from California State University Chico. She has worked in sales, interior design, and most recently in Victory's elementary school as a substitute aide. Both of her sons, Luke and Sam, are students at VCS.
As Assistant to the Director of Development, she is the lead contact for the Auction, Scrip, and the Jog-a-Thon. She will also be assisting with Back to School Night, Homecoming and Holiday decor/events. She loves spending time with her family, watching her boys play sports, and anytime she can get away to shop or go to the gym!
One of her favorite Bible verses is Ephesians 2:10, "For we are God's masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things He planned for us long ago."

Mrs. Kathy Schoch has returned as our guidance counselor after being away for 5 years. During those five years she was a substitute teacher and an administrative assistant. She has been at VCS for over 25 years. Mrs. Schoch is a graduate of Florida State University with a B.S. degree in Education. All three of her sons graduated from Victory. Today one is a missionary in Albania, one is a pastor, and one is a vascular surgeon now in a fellowship for cardiac-thorasic surgery.
Mrs. Schoch enjoys doing Bible research and spending time with her family. She takes great delight in helping each student reach his/her potential in Christ.
Her favorite verses are 1 John 5:11-13, "And this is the testimony: that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life. These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life, and that you may continue to believe in the name of the Son of God."
