
John Huffman

Mr. John Huffman graduated from California State University, Sacramento with a B.A. in Criminal Justice. He has been the principal of the Junior High and High School since 2004 and was named Superintendent of Victory Christian Schools in 2010. Mr. Huffman began working at Victory in 1978 as a coach. The following year he began teaching and continued until 1986. He left Victory for 12 years to assist his wife in coaching the Women's Basketball team at his alma mater. In 2000, Mr. Huffman returned to Victory, becoming the Dean of Students, four years later the principal, and currently the Superintendent.
Mr. Huffman has 2 children who have graduated from Victory and one who currently attends. He has coached almost every sport that VCS offers. He currently plays softball. He also is involved in the orchestra at his church.
Mr. Huffman served with Sports Ambassadors, a ministry of Overseas Crusades, for 3 years playing basketball and sharing his faith in New Guinea, West Africa, and the Philippines.
Mr. Huffman's favorite verse is Colossians 3:23, "Whatever you do, do your work heartily, as for the Lord rather than for men."
Dora Marques
Elementary Principal

Mrs. Dora Marques graduated from Multnomah School of the Bible with a dual degree in Biblical Studies and Christian Leadership. She then attended Sacramento State University and graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Liberal Studies, followed with graduate studies at Ashland State University.
Mrs. Marques has spent her entire educational career with Victory Christian Schools. Mrs. Marques taught Pre-Kindergarten, Kindergarten and fourth grade prior to becoming an elementary principal. She started with Victory over 40 years ago and has become an invaluable resource for many people. There are not many positions that Mrs. Marques has not filled or assisted in recruiting the many great teachers that Victory has had.
Mrs. Marques is equipped to lead prospective parents into a full understanding of what Victory is about. She shares the passion for children to come to know and love the Lord Jesus Christ.
Mrs. Marques' favorite Bible verse is Jeremiah 33:3, "Call to Me and I will answer you, and I will tell you great and mighty things, which you do not know."
Joseph Smith-Steward

Mr. Smith-Steward started working at VCS in 2003. He graduated from California State University, Long Beach in 1983 with a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration/MIS and received his MBA in 1990 from California State University, Sacramento. He serves as head coach for the JV boys basketball team, and has served as an Assistant coach for the Varsity boys basketball team. He has 2 children who have graduated from VCS. One currently attends CSUS and the other attends UCLA. He has one child who currently attends Victory.
Mr. Smith-Steward has over 24 years experience working in a variety of financial and management positions. Prior to his employment at VCS, Mr. Smith-Steward worked as a financial consultant for small businesses, including private schools. Prior to his work as a consultant, he worked as a Financial Analyst and Director of Finance for the medical and banking industries.
Mr. Smith-Steward has an avid interest in alternative energy power generation and systems as well as hybrid and electric vehicles. He owns an off-grid home in Washington which is powered by solar photovoltaic panels and a micro-hydro turbine system which he installed himself.
Mr. Smith-Steward's favorite Bible verse is John 3:16, "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life."
Georgette Sattler
Business Assistant
Administrative Assistant to the Superintendent

Mrs. Georgette Sattler started working at VCS in 1999 as the Business Assistant. She has a B.A. in Sociology from Trinity International University. Before coming to VCS she was the faculty secretary at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, a pastor's wife for 20 years, and an administrative assistant for a pastor in a local church. The job she liked the best was when she stayed home and was "mom".
Mrs. Sattler has two grown children who both attended and graduated from Victory. She is a grandmother to 3 wonderful grandsons. Her favorite thing to do in her spare time is read. Her favorite thing about working at VCS is that all who work here are united around one purpose - to bring glory to God in everything we do.
Mrs. Sattler's favorite Bible verses are Romans 8:38-39, "For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord."
Paula Palomo
Development Coordinator

Mrs. Paula Palomo graduated with a B.A. in Communications Studies and a minor in Spanish.
She worked for several years at McClellan AFB in budgeting and inventory control. She also has extensive volunteer work experience at Sunrise Community Church planning and overseeing large fundraising and other social events.
Prior to her employment at VCS, she volunteered at Victory in several different capacities. She worked as a substitute teacher at VCS in the junior high and high school for one and one-half years before becoming the Development Coordinator.
Mrs. Palomo's favorite Bible verses are Philippians 3:13 - 14, "Brethren, I do not regard myself as having laid hold if it yet; but one thing I do; forgetting what lies behind and reaching forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus."
