Enrollment and enthusiasm in the VCS band  program continues this year as we begin another season of activities and performances.  Important dates for the junior high and high school bands are:

Sept. 16, 2011-- Junior high band - First practice record is due.  240 minutes will result in 94% grade.

Oct. 17, 2011-- Monday - VCS  FALL CONCERT  to be presented in the VCS gym.  This is a required event for all members of the junior and senior high bands.  

Oct. 26-27--ACSI senior high honor band.  This year will take place at the University of the Pacific in Stockton.  This will involve staying overnight a hotel.  Because of  the added expenses and the need for more chaperons, there is the possibility that we will not be able to participate.   In order to make a decision before the deadline for nominations (Sept. 26)  I need to know which students and parents are planning on going.  I will be sending a letter home next week (Sept. 12) to find out which students are interested in participating.
