The Development Department at Victory runs several fundraisers throughout the year. Through your participation in these events, our school is able to complete its mission. Feel free to contact Paula Palomo at (916) 488-5601 for further information or to volunteer to help with any of the following:
Jog-a-thon / Work Day- This fundraiser is run like a traditional jog-a-thon in that the students send out forms asking people to sponsor them. The children earn prizes throughout the contest for the forms they turn in. On the elementary school side of the house the children's contest culminates in an actual jog-a-thon, however at the high school we put a new spin on the jog-a-thon idea! Instead of jogging like the elementary children, the high schoolers go out into the community and work for several public parks, churches, and private homes of old people in the area who need help.
Scrap'n' Craft Day- Our Scrap 'n' Craft Day is a relatively new fundraiser that is designed to be a mom's day out. This special event is a scrap camp: you bring your supplies to scrap or craft from 10a.m. to 10p.m. We provide the place, the table, the lunch along with a dessert table in the evening, a raffle, demonstrators who will show off the latest scrapping and stamping tools and little gifts along the way. All that's missing is you! Keep your eyes open for future announcements. We would love to have you come!
Dinner Auction 2011- The annual dinner auction, held the first Friday in November, is a fun-filled evening of great food and great items on which to bid. It includes a scrumptious dinner, a silent auction and a live auction. There is something for everyone and for everyone on your Christmas list! Don't miss this spectacular event!
Christmas Scrip Contest- Timed to fall just before the Christmas break, this fundraiser is guaranteed to help you get all your Christmas shopping done, and you don't even have to face those mobs at the mall! Grades K through 6th compete to see which class can purchase the highest dollar amount of Scrip in the three weeks leading up to Christmas break. More than a hundred vendors participate in the scrip program and offer 3% - 18% return to the school on gift cards purchased. This is definitely a win - win fundraiser!
