Chapel Service
Our weekly chapel service at Victory Christian School is designed to
focus our school community on our Lord Jesus Christ and the teachings
of His Holy Word. . Faculty, staff and guest speakers minister in music
and exposition of the Word in ways that are relevant to our student's
daily lives. Students are also encouraged to participate in the worship
by contributing as God has gifted them, and to use their talents as
they minister to their fellow students. We strive to glorify God and to
make Him known to all in our chapel services as we encourage all to
place their trust in, and develop a personal relationship with our Lord
Jesus Christ.
"Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and
admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs,
singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord." (Colossians: 3:16)
Instrumental Music
Band class provides the opportunity to learn a brass, woodwind, or
percussion instrument.
Junior High Concert Band (7th-8th grades) and Senior
High Symphonic Band (9th-12th grades)
Each band class meets five days a week as a regular class and develop
the performing skills of students individually and collectively through
a study of various styles of concert band literature. There is a $15
band fee per semester for Grades 7-12.
Vocal Music
Vocal music is offered to high school students. Victory has a large
choir that performs in the fall for a fall concert, at Christmas for a
Christmas assembly, in March at Musicale, and in the spring for either
a spring concert or in combination with the drama department for a
musical. Music theory, sight-reading, sight singing, and rhythm reading
are all taught in the choir class. Students are exposed to many genres
of music.

Computer education is offered to students in ninth through twelfth
grades. In computer applications class students learn keyboarding,
numeric keypad, word processing, spreadsheet, database, slide show
presentations, internet use, using Microsoft Office 2003. Computer
programming class teaches programming using Microsoft Visual Basic. In
addition, seventh and eighth graders learn keyboarding.
Yearbook
Yearbook is offered to students in tenth through twelfth grades.
Students learn to produce a yearbook whose traits represent a school
obedient to Christ. They learn desktop publishing using Adobe PageMaker
to write copy and captions, and design layouts. They also learn to take
photographs and edit them using Adobe Photoshop.
Drama
Each year our high school Drama Department, Victory Encore Productions,
performs a full-length stage production. Some examples are: Anne
of Green Gables, Cheaper by the Dozen, and The Sound
of Music. Plays are chosen based on their message and the size of
the cast. A large number of Victory students get involved in the play.
Many have speaking and singing parts while others work on set design,
publicity, sound, and lighting. Excitement abounds when the gym is
transformed into a theater and students get to perform before a packed
house.
Speech
Victory Christian has a speech team that is growing each year. Students
learn the basics of speech writing, performing, and debate theory.
Students spend a quarter on ministry-related speaking, learning to
share their faith with others, and how to stand on what they believe.
Each year students travel to a speech tournament where they compete
against several schools. Victory has been very successful in these
competitions with nearly every student placing - many of those with 1st
place finishes.
Victory Christian Honor Society
The purpose of the Victory Christian High School Honor Society is to
encourage the pursuit of academic excellence and to honor those who
have obtained it. The goal is to develop spiritual character through
